Common questions
Do I need an account to use NapKit?
No. You can start tracking straight away. Your data is stored on your device, and no account is required unless you turn on family sync.
Where is my baby's sleep data stored?
On your device by default, and the app works fully offline. If you subscribe to Premium and enable family sync, your data is stored in your own Apple iCloud account rather than on our servers. The privacy policy covers this in full.
How do I manage or cancel my NapKit subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose NapKit. Refund requests also go through Apple rather than through us.
Can I export my baby's sleep data?
Yes, with Premium. You can export your sleep history as CSV or PDF from the export screen in the app, with each baby covered separately, which is useful for a pediatrician visit.
Can my partner see the same sleep data?
Yes, with Premium. Family sync shares a baby through iCloud using an invite link you can send in any app. Both phones stay in step: a sleep started, edited, stopped, or deleted on one shows up on the other.
I forgot to stop a sleep session. Can I fix it?
Yes, and NapKit usually asks first. When a nap runs well past your baby's usual, it asks whether they are still asleep and lets you enter the time they woke. You can also open the History tab, tap the session, and edit its start or end time. Stopped a sleep by mistake? Open it in History and turn Still sleeping back on to carry on. Deleted one by mistake? Tap Undo.
Can I start or stop sleep without opening the app?
Yes. The Home Screen widget has Start and Stop buttons, and the NapKit button can go on your Lock Screen, in Control Center, or on the Action button. Each one can be set to a specific baby. The guide in the app's Settings shows how to add them.
How do night ratings work?
When a night ends, NapKit asks how it went. Tap a star or skip. Once you have rated a few good and a few rough nights, Statistics compares them by bedtime, naps, and time awake, and History can filter by rating. Ratings are free.
Which devices does NapKit support?
iPhone and iPad running iOS 16.1 or later. The widget's Start and Stop buttons need iOS 17, and the Lock Screen, Control Center, and Action button controls need iOS 18. An Apple Watch companion app, for watchOS 10 or later, is included with Premium.
Is NapKit available in my language?
NapKit speaks 20 languages: Arabic, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, and Ukrainian. Arabic reads right to left. The app follows your iPhone's language, and you can pick a different one in Settings.
